Terrance "Fuzzy" Fazekas passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008.
I met Fuzzy when I first came on the job. He helped train us with Truck 5
at the old tower in back of Engine 2. Back then he was on A-shift in
Headquarters on Middle Street.
When I was rotating through the houses I was on A shift.
When he rescued someone at a fire
on another shift, someone else got a Gold Star for the rescue.
When we started to make a stink about it, he just said,
"At least the Fire Department got credit and looked good."
